This year I really got into designing new place settings for each approaching holiday, but I quickly found out how expensive that could get. Changing out your napkins is one of the easiest ways to update the look of your table setting. However, it’s also one of the pricier options especially if you host upwards of 10-15 people for the holidays, like we often do. I needed some holiday napkins on a budget!
I really wanted some holiday inspired cloth napkins, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on them, especially when I knew I would be changing them out again in a few months. Cloth napkins are expensive and paper napkins are cheap. Cheap on your wallet-yay! But cheap looking on the table-boo!
For some reason though, when you wrap a paper napkin around a cloth napkin, they don’t look so cheap anymore. The best option to keep this budget friendly is to purchase a set of white cloth napkins; white goes with everything. Then each time you want to change up your place settings, simply purchase decorative paper napkins and wrap them around your cloth napkins.

I was going for a winter wonderland theme and I found these snowflake napkins at Party City, a 16 pack for $1.75.
I wrapped them around my white cloth napkins and for whatever magical reason, you can’t even tell it’s a paper napkin anymore. Do you know that this means??? It means you can change out your napkins for a super festive look, every holiday, for less than $2 for the entire table!
